I'm on 0870 - What are my options?
As a result of these changes you have 3 choices...

| 3. Accept complete removal of revenue share payments (which may involve having to pay for call delivery) | Take no action and keep your existing 0870 numbers OR change to an 0800 or 03 number |
Option 1: Maintain Revenue Share
Action: migrate your service from 0870 to 0871
Benefits:
- Maintenance of revenue for your business
- More control over how you charge customers through 0871 (which can offer numerous price points)
Drawbacks:
- Significant cost of change, eg re-printing marketing material. 0871 may be perceived as a premium rate number as it is now being regulated by ICSTIS
- Other negative associations of 0871 numbers, eg gambling, adult services
Option 2: Accept a Reduction in Revenue Share
Action: migrate services from 0870 to 0844 or 0845
Benefits:
- Retain revenue for your business (although at reduced levels)
- A better service for your customers as it will cost them less to call you
Drawbacks:
- Significant cost of change, eg re-printing marketing material
- Revenue share on 0845 likely to be reviewed in two years’ time – you may have to change numbers again by 2009 to protect revenue
Option 3: Accept Complete Removal of Revenue Share
Action: do nothing, or migrate to 0800 or 03
